Find your rank for any google search

I have been wanting to know where I fall in google for certain searches. So I wrote this handy app to tell me what page of google and where on that page my domain wound up.

Go here and enter in your domain and a google search string, and your rank will be returned to you, I go as far as the 71st page of google, that is about the time that google says tough luck.

For example, if I enter in Bohnsack's domain, bohnsack.com, and search for "Broken Ankle New Mexico" I see that bohnsack.com comes back as 2nd, at the moment. bohnsack.com looks to be first, but note that I take into consideration sponsored links at the top and along the right.

So go check it out - Google Result Finder.

Tell me, Charlie, that your app is broken and that there are results for chris’ domain! I tried it and got "No Results". Total bummer, no?

Heather – it only searches the first 1000 or so results, google stops you after that. So check this link out -<br/><br/>http://www.google.com/search?q=bank&hl=en&start=1000<br/><br/>I searched for bank and am asking google to start at the 1000th result, it returns an error message:<br/><br/>Sorry, Google does not serve more than 1000 results for any query. (You asked for results starting from 1000.)<br/>

Very cool, can you share the code? Or modify it to have an option to ignore ads, I would like to know where some of my terms are organically, but I don’t want to turn off my adwords to know.

Sure, I will see what I can do about the ads, I noticed that. Thanks for giving me the push to fix it.

I have a similar app to what you have created and what Joel is looking for at http://arizonawebdevelopment.com/google-page-rank
